I was hoping to get some advice. I have a 2008 jetta 2.5L and the shop confirmed I have a blown head gasket. The first question i have is should I be more worried as this is rare on these cars. What else might be problematic? The second question is would you assume the timing chain needs to be replaced also? Its a difference between spending 2k and 4k. Any recommendation.

    Thanks for you help.
