The day after I got the R32, I took it to USP Motorsports. The dudes there were freaking awesome! Not only did we get a few important maintenance things dialed in, but we put some fun parts on too. They hooked me up with a High Flow Cat set up. Then Chris, the owner, sweet talked me into running her on the dyno. I did a Facebook live stream of the 2 runs.

Since a lot of you are not on Facebook I thought I would share this video for you CrewMembers I am pretty happy with the numbers she put down. It would have been great to do a pre and post HFC run. But we really didn’t have time for that.

Last weekend I finally installed the engine in the GTI. This should have been a really easy and straightforward job. Nothing crazy about bolting an engine in. BUT as luck would have it, things did not go that awesome. The end result is the engine is in the car. I figured I would share the time-lapse with you guys. If you pause at 1:59 you will see the still of me smashing the rod for the engine hoist. This is because the engine slipped and scratched the hell out of the frame. I will probably hit it with a little rattle can to cover it back up, but it still pissed me off. LOL

A while back I had the man, the myth and legend Jason from Engineering Explained over to the house. We shot a few videos including “The death of the VR6” and “5 things you need to turbocharge your car”.  As you guys know I have a lot of engine props for videos. That makes those videos super fun.

Well I also reached out to CrewMembers on Facebook to see what questions you had for Jason. So here we go.

I also mentioned a wheel fitment website, you can find that here ~ Will They Fit

Today I talk a little about me breaking things. The worst part, it’s on my own car. As you guys know the turn signals in my Passat were not working. I figured out what was wrong, and was shooting a video on how to make the repair. I must have looked at the plastic wrong, because it just crumbled.

Today we look at what some people find to be a sensitive topic. That is sponsored videos and getting paid for content creation. This is an interesting time in the internet world to be a content creator. Basically all companies are giving money to PR and ad agencies to pay people to do sponsored content. Sometimes it is a great fit, some times not, and some times the pitch and the expectation is very different. Today is about the differing exceptions.

As some of you know, I do videos for the Allstate Blog. These are general pretty basic videos talking about things like lights, wipers, check engine lights and more. The next video up is about checking coolant hoses. I wanted to show what some bad hoses looked like. So off to the salvage yard I went. Also my kiddo really wanted to be on the show today. So I thought that might be fun for her.
