Replacing spark plugs in a modern vehicle can be very intimidating. But this can be a very easy DIY on just about any car. In this video I will teach you the method I use to replace spark plugs on any car. This will cover removing spark plug wires, cleaning spark plug wells, installing and torquing spark plugs, and reinstalling wires.

We will be working with my 1998 VW GTI with the Vr6 engine.

One of the more common issues with check engine lights is a system lean fault P0171 is the most common fault code. This fault can be tricky to diagnose if you don’t understand what system lean really means. This can be too much air, or not enough fuel at the engine. mk5 Air ride Southern Worthersee

This is a MK5 from SOWO a few years ago

The MK5 or A5 platform car consists of the Jetta, Rabbit, GTI, and Jetta SportWagen.The MKV came out as a 2005.5 and finished up with about model year 2010. They had their share of common VW issues too. Today we are talking about their biggest failures. It is also the first new car to come out after I became a VW tech. It was also great because the architecture of the car systems was like a light version of the Touareg.
