Viewer Automotive Questions ~ Podcast Episode 192
Today I will be taking viewer automotive questions. The topics we cover are, car repair, DIYs on cars, Volkswagen, mechanic’s tools, and anything car related. To ask a car question for a show like this, email me Charles(at)Humblemechanic(DOT)com. Be sure to put the phrase “Question for Charles” in the subject. That is the best so you can avoid the spam monster. If you don’t get your question on this show, email it again just to be sure.

I am running a sale on CrewMembership until 5/14/17 at 7pm eastern. This means you can join CrewMembers for $20 off or $45 for your first year. I will not be running sales like this very often. So now is the time to jump on the deal. Remember you get discounts to several vendors, exclusive videos from me, VW/Audi training manuals I make, and more. Sponsor of the Day CRP deals in a ton of OE automotive parts. They also make the factory DSG fluid for VW. Having them as a sponsor will give us access to more information about fluids than I would ever get from VW. I am really excited to have them as a resource of information. Hey Man!
What is your secret to busting loose the Axle shaft Bolt that goes through wheel hub and bearing? You know, the one that requires that 6ft long breaker bar and a hope-and-a-prayer it doesn’t strip the Allen socket inside the bolt?
Love your Podcast, and THANKS! From a fellow Audi/VW Tech.
LOL, I have had good luck with impacts over the years. Or if you put the wheel on, and set the car in the ground to break it loose. That is better when you have to use a breaker bar.
I have a 2009 Passat. I am told these cars last a few hundred thousand miles, part of the reason I bought it new. My engine is fine but the dashboard lights keep popping on. Now my ABS doesn’t work, nor my parking brake, but the car runs fine. Does everybody have the same B.S. problems and they just ignore it like I am starting to do?
Do people actually GET 200k miles with some of these lights flashing?
Engine is fine & maintained. Computer and dashboard lights stink!
