Sponsor of the Day
CRP deals in a ton of OE automotive parts. They also make the factory DSG fluid for VW. Having them as a sponsor will give us access to more information about fluids than I would ever get from VW. I am really excited to have them as a resource of information. To learn more about the great products they have, check out CRPAutomotive.com

Nice one. Got some good points on the Automotive Tools.
Really good advice here! so true about VW Touareg, I love that SUV but I like fixing cars myself but because of the complex access, protocols and lack of equipment we end up taking it to the dealers.
To hone or not to hone? Was the cylinder bored to bring it back to round or some other reason? Hone. Just throwing a fresh set of rings in an in spec cylinder? Don’t touch that hone! Honing is meant to remove the marks left from boring. Period end of story. Every other reason is the stuff of myth.
This article is very helpful. Keep going. Very satisfied with content.
