Saying Goodbye to My 2005 VW Passat
Getting rid of a car is not easy. Selling a car, scrapping a car, donating a car, giving it away are all tough. Last week I donated my 2005 VW Passat to Second Chances Garage. They do amazing work top to bottom. The icing on the cake it the mentorship of automotive tech students. While I am sad to say good bye to the Passat, I couldn’t be happier on where she is going, and the impact the new owner will make. #humblemechanic #GEARWRENCHGivesBack

Goodbye? More like good riddance!
I just bought a 2004 1.8t passat wagon. Loving it, got what I feel is a good price. Sometimes, my oil pressure light comes on, and I have to stop the vehicle. What would you recommend? I’m looking for a good local VW technician here in Milwaukee. Not sure I can afford a lot of repairs… should I resell my passat wagon?

Saying goodbye to your 2005 Passat wagon? Our 2001 hit the 20-year mark at the start of the year (built in Sep. 2000, purchased end of Jan. 2021), and I hope to keep it as long as possible, because I have yet to find any car ever sold on the American market that can top, or even match, its perfect size and configuration.
