kobalt review 20v impact

Kobalt 20v impactHey everyone. I picked up this impact wrench, which I call a gun, a while ago. This is a pretty nice impact. While I don’t think that it will replace my air gun, it does have some really great features.

You can pick this up at your local Lowe’s Hardware, or buy it online. I did find it on Amazon, but it was $100 more, and not available on Amazon Prime.

Join me as we check out the Kobalt 20V 1/2 impact

  • Why I bought this impact gun
  • Some specs on the impact gun
  • What’s in the box
  • The PROS!
  • The Cons!
  • Overall thoughts
  • A prefect situation for this impact gun
  • and more

bad clock spring

Happy Tuesday everyone. Today we are taking a look at how VW clock springs fail. I actually did a video a LONG time ago about how clock springs work. Today, we take a deeper look at the failure of this part. The clock spring is the key to connecting the electronics in the steering wheel to the body of the car. Cars of today have much more to control on the steering wheel than just the horn. We need to have a part capable on handling that.

Sponsor Of The Day
Today’s show is sponsored by Deutsche Auto Parts. They are the VW and Audi parts experts. They have great prices and awesome service. Plus they work really hard on a ton of VW DIY videos. Paul and the boys at DAP are awesome.

Join me today as we break it down:

  • What does the clock spring do?
  • How does the clock spring look?
  • How does the clock spring fail?
  • Signs of clock spring failure
  • Diagnosing a bad clock spring
  • DIY or No DIY?
  • There is no common mileage/time of failure
  • and more

Solutions For Techs Stuck In Career Rut ~ Podcast Episode 42

Hey everyone. Today’s automotive podcast comes on the heels of a show I did last week called “Thoughts on Techs Moving Away From Dealerships ~ Episode 38“. I realized that I really hit a nerve with a lot of you. To me that was both a good and bad thing. I also owe you an apology. I talked all about some things that are wrong, but offered no solutions. So today we are talking all solutions.

Today on the Automotive podcast we look at:

  • Ways to “get out of the funk”
  • Shelf all the negative BS, at least for this show.
  • List of things that are good or great about the job
  • My list of great things about my job
  • Setting small goals and rewards
  • Setting bigger goals and rewards
  • Focusing on YOU
  • Change up your space
  • You care more than anyone else, use that to your advantage.
  • and more

It is something I am working on getting better.
