The last week I spent a few days learning about the new VW Atlas 3 row SUV. There is some new cool stuff, and some stuff I don’t love. I will be doing a drive event soon, and will post another video. This is the first VW new product class I have been to since the Tiguan. The first class I attended in Maryland was the Touareg class. Funny how much things have changed, and how very much they are the same. Either way going to training and learning a new product is usually a good time, and I always learn something.
Today we are going to be learning how to perform a Parasitic Current Draw test or PID. Knowing the right way to do this test may not be vital, but it will save you a lot of headaches. Doing this test wrong can waste time, and that will waste money. You also don’t NEED a ton of high dollar special equipment to do this. While that equipment is nice to have, most of use don’t have it. So if you have a battery draw, here is the best way to help find it.
