The Easy Way to Install ARP Head Studs
Next up in the White Wookie build, it’s time for ARP studs! This is a very common upgrade when adding boost to any engine. ARP is THE name in automotive hardware. Making the choice to run ARP head studs and ARP connecting rod bolts was a very easy one. Installation of these bolts is a little different than the factory cylinder head bolts.
The OEM VR6 cylinder head bolts are “torque to yield”. That means they stretch when you properly tighten them. What that also means is, they can not be reused. The ARP studs on the other hand can be reused. They cost a little more to use, but overall are a better fastener.

What is thread and pitch size of the bolts?
Hey man i have a bdf 24v. Slight knock in the bottom. Not horrible, Is it possible to drop the pan and install new rod bearings and arp hardware? I’m nervous on measurements are Arp simple to install ?
