Golf R Oil Catch Can Install ~ MK7, MK7.5 MQB

In this video we install the Racingline Catch Can for MQB cars. This catch can install will replace the OEM PCV valve and fine oil separator. I will show you step by step how to install a catch can for most MQB VW and Audi cars. Also the Golf R catch can installation requires relocating the top of the washer fluid bottle. We will also be testing how much this catch can ACTUALLY works to keep carbon off the intake valves. #humblemechanic #golfR #VW #MQB

Do Catch Cans REALLY Work?

Catch cans are a common upgrade for many cars including direct injection engines. They are said to keep oil out of the intake, and reduce carbon build up. But does the catch can really work? This is the results of a 3,000 mile service on the Black Forest Industries Catch Can installed on my 2015 Tiguan. The result of reducing carbon buildup is still unknown. Testing the truth about a catch can fixing carbon issues is a long and high mile test with so many variables. I wish I could do that test, and do it right.

How To Install A Catch Can ~ 2.0t TSI Engine

Today we are installing a Black Forest Industries BFI Catch Can on a 2015 Tiguan. This is a Volkswagen CCTA engine and the DIY applies to most VW TSI engines. This may help reduce carbon build up on the intake valves for GDI or Direct injection engine More about carbon buildup
