Advice for New Drivers ~ What you SHOULD Learn in Drivers Education
/

When we talk about being a few driver, I vividly remember my time learning to drive. I learned how to drive on a Jeep Wrangler 5sp. Today I look and see how much room for improvement our drivers ed system has. Kids “MIGHT” be learning the basics, but vehicle care is not even a consideration. Learning the basics of car care is part of being a driver. How many kids, or adults for that matter, wouldn’t know what to do if they got a flat? Today Rusty and I talk about some of the things that we think should be part of a new drivers education.

Should You Trust Oil Life Monitors or Follow the Book?
/

Oil change intervals have been a hot topic for many years. And people really do have an almost religious like attachment to engine oil. When you start to get into oil change interval and what the best time to replace oil is, people get just as crazy. But what is the right answer? Should you follow the book 100%? What about those oil life monitors that many car manufacturers use? Can you trust that?

Today I take Conrad’s question as part of The Survival Podcast Expert Counsel. He wanted to know what the best oil change strategy was. We will look at changing oil once a year, following the “Quicky Change” sticker, the owners book, and the oil life monitor.

What Is Corner Balancing? After installing and adjusting coilovers on the GTI, I had an Alignment done AND the car corner balanced. But what does it mean to corner balance a car? Why might you need to corner balance your car? Will a corner balance make your car drive better? Will corner balancing make your car faster on the track? Today we look at all of that and more. The cost for corner balance and an alignment will depend on the location and the amount of work needed to get your corner balance right.

Are People Jealous Of Your Success?
/

Today’s podcast comes from a question on a Facebook live show I did about 2 weeks ago. Ronnie asked if people were jealous of my success. Well my initial response was no, but it kind of morphed into a 20 or so minute chat about that topic. So I edited it down some and wanted to put it out there for you guys. I hope you enjoy it. I hope you find this motivating. I want great things for all of you.
