How To Change a Tire with a VW Jack (The WIDOWMAKER)

How to change a tire and properly use the VW jack. The VW jack is jokingly called “The WidowMaker”. Changing a tire is an easy DIY if you do it right. Using the VW jack can be tricky, but if you follow these steps, you can change a tire in no time. We are using the SpaceSAVER spare tire on a VW Touareg. Also I recommend checking your vehicle kit BEFORE you need it on the side of the road. #humblemechanic

Smoke Testing a Plastic Valve Cover with Built In PCV

This plastic valve cover has some of the PCV valve built in. Today we take that valve cover apart, look at the pathways of the PCV and oil separator. We also test using a smoke machine to diagnose the failure. This is also a great excuse to play around with my smoke machine LOL VAPE BRO!

New and Cheap Shop Press ~ Harbor Freight Press

I picked up a new press for the shop today. It’s a Harbor Freight shop press for $140. I got this press to move forward with rebuilding the GTI transmission. The bearings and gears are much easier to work with when using a shop press. This is a pretty good deal for $140. So far this shop press has been great for the money

Leaking valve covers, and valve cover gaskets are common. In this video I will show you step by step how to replace a valve cover gasket, or a valve cover. We will also cover the valve cover breather, or PCV valve built into this valve cover. Valve cover failure is common on the VW BPY engine.
