2018 VW Tiguan ~ The Good, The Bad, and The Rest

The 2018 Tiguan was a little bit of a quite release for VW. With all the marketing efforts going to the Atlas. Since the Atlas was held at the plant, the Tiguan complete redesign was not pumped up as much. As you may know, my wife and I own a 2015 Tiguan. We have owned that Tiguan for a little over two years. The 2015 is not a bad car, but it has some type 1 short comings.

The redesign of the Tiguan takes care of most of the issues I have with our 2015. Bigger, cooler looking, and finally better technology. But there is still a few things I would like to change out this current generation Tiguan. Either way this was a fun video. Also a shout out to Leith VW Cary. They let me borrow the car for a few days. This is a pretty rad dealership. Their service department is awesome now that the jerk shop Forman left. 😉

BMW Ultimate Driving Experience

This week I had the chance to attend the BMW Ultimate Driving Experience M Car Control Clinic. This is the first time I have had actual driving instruction since I was 15. This experience may have been a little more intense than when I got my license. The M car clinic is a full day event that puts you in the driver seat of an M3 and M4. Couple that with instruction from a BMW driving trainer, and you have a day to not be forgotten.

We put these BMW in a situation which they were made from. The cars we had were complete with a $9000 carbon ceramic brake upgrade. While those brakes may get a little noisy on the road, they stop the car fast! Because this was not a media event, getting footage was somewhat limited. But I got some great action of the car, and of the instruction I want to share with you guys. Also thanks to Shell for providing the accommodations for the trip.
